Norwich Theatre is thrilled to announce its Ensemble and Junior Ensemble cast for its 2025 pantomime, Cinderella. They will be joining Cinderella on her adventure at Norwich Theatre Royal from 6 Dec 25 until 4 Jan 26.
These talented people round out the magical fairytale world, making it as big and vibrant as possible, so don’t be surprised if you see them wearing a lot of different hats!
The all-singing, all-dancing cast of characters who make up our grown-up ensemble includes Pele Yearwood, Eve Leoni, Misty May Tindall, Holly Houseman, Joseph Brownli-Johnson, and Blair Cameron. Performing alongside them are two Norfolk locals, Thomas Gotobed and Josh Peberday.
Speaking about being cast in Cinderella, Josh Peberday said: “I’m very excited to be joining Norwich Theatre Royal this Christmas! I began dancing at the age of 10 just across the street at The Garage, Norwich and grew up in the audiences of this theatre, so it feels really special. After appearing as a dancer in the winter and summer Cromer Pier Show, I can’t wait to immerse myself in all things panto!”
Thomas Gotobed added: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Cinderella here in my hometown of Norwich. It feels incredibly special to be part of such a beloved story and to perform for the community that I grew up in. I can’t wait to share this magical production with everyone.”
However, the cast wouldn’t be complete without Norwich Theatre’s Junior Ensemble, a team of twelve local 10–13-year-olds who heroically answered the call to appear in this year’s performances. The Junior Ensemble includes Harry, Esmeralda, Cameron and Poppy (Team Coach), Benjamin, Honor, Isy and Archie (Team Pumpkin), and finally, Jack, Ray, Darcey and Iris (Team Horses).
You might recognise Harry and Ezzie from their performances in the musical Gypsy, which played at Norwich Theatre Playhouse, and Benjamin appeared in the Norfolk and Norwich Operatic Society production of Les Misérables this year too!
They will all be supporting the previously announced main cast, Joe Tracini, who will play Buttons, Georgia May Foote, as Cinderella, Danny Hatchard, as her Prince Charming, Owen Evans and Kenny Moore, playing the mischievous Wicked Sisters, Jeevan Braich, as dry-witted royal valet Dandini, and last but not least, Hannah-Jane Fox, as the tricky shape-shifting Fairy Godmother.
Cinderella is a tale as old as time. The girl lives in a run-down hotel on the beachfront and is forced to cook and clean for her Wicked Sisters. She meets a fairy and falls in love with a prince who immediately forgets what she looks like! You’ll laugh, you’ll laugh again, you’ll scream “Look Behind You!” as a magical story of love and triumph unfolds before your eyes. You can’t miss it!
Cinderella opens at Norwich Theatre Royal on 6 Dec 25 and runs over Christmas and New Year until 4 Jan 26.
Cinderella has a range of accessible performances, including captioned, audio described, BSL interpreted, relaxed, sensory adapted and an over-15s performance.
