Norwich Theatre’s work with artists, supporting their development and the development of new work is led by the Creative Development team. On this page you can find out who we are and how to contact us. Sometimes your enquiry might best be suited to our Programming team, so we’ve let you know when this might be the case, and how to contact them as well.

Contacting Artist Development

You’re in the right place if you’re a professional or professional-aspiring artist who would like to:

  • Join our Artist Network to benefit from training, workshops and performance opportunities.
  • Find out how Norwich Theatre might be able to support the development of a new piece of work that you or your company are planning.
  • Find out how Norwich Theatre might be able to advise on and potentially support a funding application.
  • Find out how Norwich Theatre might be able to support career development for you or your company.
  • Ask us for information on the local and regional arts scene, perhaps because you’re new to the area, new to professional practice or coming back to it after a break.
  • Invite us to see a scratch, sharing or work-in-progress performance of work which is early in its development, with a view to seeing if Norwich Theatre might be able to support its future journey.
  • You’re considering submitting a programming enquiry to Norwich Theatre, but would like an informal chat first to see if your work is ready for a programming conversation and suited to our stages. We’ll advise on how you can pitch your work to show it off at its best.

Contacting the Programming Team

You’re in the right place if you are an artist, company, producer or tour booker who is ready to:

  • Submit a show pack/tour pack as part of a programming enquiry for a fully developed piece of work. You’re interested in Norwich Theatre potentially programming it on to any of its stages (Theatre Royal, Playhouse, Stage Two, Beyond or our Digital Stage).
  • Invite Norwich Theatre to see a developed piece of work, in order to inform a programming conversation, or explore a potential co-producing relationship. Please note that we cannot guarantee the team will have the capacity to accept all invites. If you give us lots of advance notice, this will significantly increase the chances.
