All shows go on sale to the public on the last Friday of the month. Norwich Theatre Friends and Ambassadors enjoy priority access, plus extra benefits such as half price first night dramas.

Thick & Tight: The Tits & Teeth Tour (11 Mar) is a variety show like no other. The show mixes dance with drag, satire, mime and lip-syncing. Performed portraits of famous and infamous people will appear before you, including Andy Warhol, Rasputin, and a Kathak-dancing Winston Churchill. Don’t know these amazing cultural figures? You soon will! See them at Norwich Theatre Playhouse as part of their whirlwind tour.

For something a little different, try Dani Harris-Walters: Happy Fathers Day (6 Apr 24). The show is a heart-stirring, funny, coming-of-age piece which provides the unconventional puberty lesson you’ll wish you’d had at school. With spot-on comedic timing, Dani uses movement, rap, animation and spoken word to focus on sexual coupling from an unexpected point of view.

Comedy fans will be in good hands with all the shows heading to Norwich Theatre Playhouse; we have everything from comedians early on in their career you will want to see before they make it big to old hands that are bound to make you laugh. Aurie Styla (16 Jun 24) and Laura Smyth (14 Sep 24) are new to the Playhouse with sell-out studio tours this year and are two comedians you will want to see before they hit the big time.

After selling out the Playhouse Joe Wells (24 Mar 24) and Sofie Hagen (29 Jun 24) are coming back to the Playhouse you will have to be quick to get seats for these two.

Catch comedians that have starred on TV shows such as Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News for You, Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, and so many more at the Playhouse too! Check out Simon Evans (23 Feb 24), Richard Herring (17 Jul 24) and Kiri Pritchard-McLean (1 Nov 24), Phil Ellis (27 Mar 24), Daliso Chaponda (7 Apr 24), Miles Jupp (21 – 22 Apr 24) and Pierre Novellie (18 Oct 24) all heading to the Playhouse next year.

Other shows heading to the Playhouse:

For fans of Shakespeare looking to try something different, why not try Sh!t-faced Shakespeare ® A Midsummer Night’s Dream (3 Nov 24) at Norwich Theatre Playhouse. Each night, a rotating cast member will get genuinely spiffingly splifficated and attempt to perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Making for a different show every night; nobody (not even the cast) knows in which direction the show will stumble. Think drunken donkeys, fandangled fairies and mullered mechanicals… it’s hard to imagine anything more magical, right?

In 2024, The Pasadena Roof Orchestra (28 Apr 24) will be celebrating 55 years of playing music for the 1920s and 1930s at Norwich Theatre Playhouse. The show lovingly recreates melodies from the great American Songbook composers such as Irving Berlin and George Gershwin.

And there’s even something for Children and families with The Lion Inside (21 Jun 24). It is a heartwarming tale about confidence, self-esteem, and a shy little mouse who sets out on a journey to find his roar. Based on the best-selling story by Rachel Bright & Jim Field, this show is suitable for ages 3+, but all ages are welcome.

A Royal treat:

Tim Peake, the first official British astronaut to walk in space, zips up his spacesuit and space walks into Norwich Theatre Royal for The Quest to Explore Space (22 Sep 24). Tim, with the help of extraordinary archive material and footage, will bring to life the awe-inspiring endeavours of those pioneering explorers we call astronauts.
