Norwich Theatre is thrilled to announce the launch of accessible creative taster sessions designed to bring older adults together for connection, conversation, and movement. These welcoming programmes invite participants to explore their creativity in a relaxed, friendly environment, with no prior experience required.
Looking for a friendly place to meet, chat and try something creative? Try a taster session of The Social (11 & 12 Nov). This monthly gathering is created specifically for local adults aged 60 and over. Designed as a warm space to meet new people and enjoy refreshments, the group features light creative activities inspired by arts, culture, and lively conversation.
To celebrate the new group, the Welcome Evening: The Social (14 Dec) marks the start of The Social. Throughout the evening, you will find out more about the regular meet-ups and creative sessions, talks, events and creative projects, all designed with and for local communities, as well as an opportunity to see work from previous Theatre Maker projects.
If dance is more your thing. Come and try Dance Lab (14 Dec), an accessible contemporary movement programme tailored for ages 50 and up. This dedicated taster session invites participants to try something entirely new, pick up fresh skills, and move in a supportive, judgment-free space. The movement session will be followed by a creative sharing from the venue’s Creative Ageing Theatre Makers and an open group discussion.
