What is it?

Looking for a friendly place to connect, be creative and help shape something new?

This event is an opportunity to meet new people and join a discussion about a new social group at Norwich Theatre. Join us for a relaxed and welcoming evening where you can meet new people, watch and discuss a sharing performed by our Theatre Makers, discover future opportunities, and help shape what comes next.

At Norwich Theatre, we believe that creativity belongs to everyone, at every age. Our Creative Ageing programme invites people aged 60+ to connect, discover new interests, build confidence and explore their creativity.

You do not need any previous theatre or creative experience to attend. Whether you are curious about future opportunities, looking to meet new people, or simply interested in finding out more, you will be warmly welcomed. You are welcome to come on your own or bring a friend.

Who it is for:

People who are interested in creativity, culture, conversation and community. Whether you already take part in creative activities or are looking for a new opportunity to connect with others, this event is for you.

The event marks the beginning of a new group, The Social, with future opportunities including regular meet-ups and creative sessions, talks, events and creative projects, all designed with and for local communities.

For anyone interested in exploring dance and movement, we’re also hosting a Dance Lab Taster Session , before this event. Attendance at the taster session is not required to join the Welcome Event.

Interested in joining?

What will I get from taking part?

This event is a chance to meet new people, see what Norwich Theatre has to offer, watch a performance, take part in a workshop and enjoy conversations in a creative setting. You can expect a warm welcome and opportunities to watch, listen, chat and reflect on what arts and creativity mean to you.

This evening is also an opportunity to influence and shape the future of our work; come along and join the conversation.
