The Elmer Adventure | Norwich Theatre Playhouse | 27 – 29 Jun | 3+

Join the magical world of Elmer, the patchwork elephant, in this new colourful production. Help find Elmer hidden away in his hiding places, whether that’s behind the trees or amongst the bushes of the jungle! This classic tale is brought to life through enchanting puppetry, catchy songs, and mesmerising storytelling.

Suitable for children aged three and up, we encourage everyone to embrace their inner Elmer and wear their most colourful clothes!

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe | Norwich Theatre Royal | 8 – 12 Jul

Step through the doors into a magical wonderland with this smash-hit West End production. Wonder awaits in the world of Narnia, where Lucy, Edmund and Peter make new friends and head on wild adventures. Explore their lessons of courage, sacrifice and the power of love, as told through music, puppetry, and magnificent drama.

Journey through time, seasons and the wardrobe in this unmissable production. Be sure to bring along some Turkish delight!

Open Day | Norwich Theatre Royal & Norwich Theatre Stage Two | 9 Aug

For a taste of theatrical magic, bring the family along to Norwich Theatre’s annual free Open Day. Explore exclusive backstage areas, peek into dressing rooms and stand on the stage! There will be interactive demonstrations, talks, costume try-ons and sessions with the technical team. For little ones, there are free activities and puppet shows, making the day fun-filled for all generations.

Summer Holiday Club: Theatre Magic! | Norwich Theatre Stage Two | 18 Aug | 7 – 10 & 11 – 13

Children can spend a week of their summer days delving into the magic of theatre whilst meeting new friends, building confidence and learning new skills! Over five fun-filled days, children in age groups of 7 – 10 and 11 – 13 can dive into masterclass workshops, fun games, backstage tours and high-quality activities designed to spark their creativity.

No previous drama experience is needed, just a passion for trying new things and having fun! On the last day, families will be invited into the studio to celebrate the week’s accomplishments.

Tales from the Lighthouse | Norwich Theatre Stage Two | 30 Aug | 5+

All aboard! Set sail on a musical voyage filled with songs, stories and the sea. Meet a lonely lighthouse keeper who has grown scared of the sea’s wild and stormy nature. However, that changes when a mysterious stranger, whose songs tell of the ocean’s magic and power, forces the keeper to confront his fears and slowly rediscover the beauty of the sea that surrounds him.

An ideal introduction to the magic of theatre for children, this performance weaves together spellbinding puppetry, traditional music, and enchanting storytelling. It’s also perfect for anyone with a love for music, myths, and folklore.

The Paper Dolls | Norwich Theatre Stage Two | 27 – 28 Sep | 3 – 8

Adapted from the original picture book by Julia Donaldson and Rebecca Cobb, this heartwarming story follows a little girl who cuts out a string of paper dolls and takes them on a fantastical adventure through her home. From the jaws of a toy dinosaur to the very real threat of a boy with very real scissors, their adventures are threatened to be cut short.

Come along to this charming show that celebrates creativity woven into heartfelt storytelling.

Cinderella | Norwich Theatre Royal | 6 Dec 25 – 4 Jan 26

Plan ahead and book in your family tickets to our latest pantomime. Cinderella dreams of life outside the confides of her home where she spends her time looking after her wicked family. Thankfully, she has her best friend, Buttons, to keep her spirits up! Come along and find out whether Cinderella will ever make it to Prince Charming’s ball and escape the grip of her wicked family!

Expect silly family fun in this re-telling of a much-loved fairy tale, stuffed with classic lines like, ‘Oh, yes, it is!’, ‘It’s behind you!’ and plenty of booing! It is the perfect festive treat.
