This month, Norwich Theatre announces an exciting line up of shows going on sale that you won’t want to miss. Immerse yourself in a gripping drama, enjoy some laugh-out-loud comedy or get ahead of the game and book your Christmas treat at Norwich Theatre Playhouse. The only question is: what will you choose?

At Norwich Theatre Royal, three thrilling dramas will put you on the edge of your seats. The Girl on the Train (4 – 8 Feb 25), starring Giovanna Fletcher, is adapted from Paula Hawkins’ novel – an international phenomenon selling over twenty million copies worldwide – this gripping play promises to keep you guessing until the final moment.

Superintendent Roy Grace is back in Picture You Dead (1 – 5 Apr 25) and investigating a cold case that leads him to the rarified air of fine art. But beneath the respectable veneer lurks a dark underworld of greed, deception, and murder.

A love letter to horror Ghost Stories (15 – 19 Apr 25) is not for the faint-hearted. A fully sensory and electrifying encounter, this show will have you on the edge of your seat. When Professor Goodman, an arch-sceptic out to debunk the paranormal, embarks on an investigation of three apparent hauntings, Goodman finds himself quickly running out of explanations. Are you brave enough to book?

Julian Clary (1 Jun 25) returns to Norwich Theatre Royal for an evening of side-splitting laughter in his signature style. Heading to the Norwich Theatre Playhouse is political satirist Matt Forde (2 Oct 24) who will be holding the new government to account.

Going on sale at Stage Two, there is a play exploring female friendship, coming of age, and coming out set against the backdrop of partition – Santi & Naz (29 Oct 24), a folk musical duo Hannah Saunders & Ben Savage (9 Nov 24) and the punk-rocking power of positivity with award-winning comedian and activist Juliette Burton’s Hopepunk (18 Jan 25)

Norwich Theatre has Christmas all wrapped up with their shows to get you in the Christmas spirit. Join Toast Poetry (6 Dec 24) for a Christmas edition of Norfolk’s biggest poetry night. Cabaret legend Mat Ricardo (7 Dec 24) returns to Norwich with a one-night-only Christmas treat of comedy, circus, burlesque, music, and guaranteed shenanigans. Step Into Christmas with the Joe Ringer Band (23 Dec 24) and hear all the Christmas favourites from Bing to Buble, Silent Night to Fairytale of New York and Mariah to Slade.

Ghosted (10 – 21 Dec 24) is a cheekily rewritten version of Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol performed by a multi-tasking cast of just four actors. Eloisa Scrooge is the world’s worst boss until she’s nominated for a Christmas Eve makeover from an exuberant trio of queer ghosts, who take her back to her past and forward to the shocking future that awaits her if she doesn’t change her ways.

Your little ones won’t be left out of the Christmas fun and mischief with The Cat in the Hat (11 – 22 Dec 24). From the moment his tall, red and white-striped hat appears, Sally and her brother know that the cat in the hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat they have ever met.
