The Big Christmas Assembly! | 4 Dec 

Head on a trip down memory lane during an evening filled with pure nostalgia and joyous sing-along tunes from Christmas past. Join James B Partridge for a number of festive musical surprises, nativity bangers and reflections on growing up during Christmas time.  

TOAST Poetry | 6 Dec 

This is poetry but not as you know it. Host Lewis Buxton, will be joined by Caleb Femi, Salena Godden, and Michael Symmons Roberts for this festive evening of shared work. There will be chances to laugh and be moved be a selection of poignant spoken word by local and international wordsmiths.  

Mat Ricardo’s Christmas Cabaret | 7 Dec  

Cabaret legend Mat Ricardo is returning with another Christmas treat stuffed with comedy, circus, burlesque and festive shenanigans. A variety of dazzling performers will fill you with festive cheer and leave you jaw dropped in awe! This year’s lineup includes; outrageous drag artist Lolo Brow, burlesque artist and comedy drag queen Lilly Snatchdragon and award-winning cabaret artiste Lady Carol.

Ghosted | 10 – 21 Dec 

The world’s worst boss gets a makeover by a trio of queer ghosts in this cheekily rewritten version of A Christmas Carol. Performed by a multi-tasking cast of just four actors, this hilarious play is a fresh take on a much-loved fable! Can Eloisa Scrooge change her ways and become a better boss to her longsuffering assistant, Bobbi Cratchitt?  

The Cat in the Hat | 11 – 22 Dec 

Father Christmas isn’t the only iconic character in a red and white hat this winter! The Cat in the Hat is a classic Dr Seuss tale that follows the adventures of Sally and her brother after they encounter a strange talking cat. Perfect for children over three, the show is filled with the trickiest of tricks and craziest of ideas, turning any rainy afternoon into an amazing family adventure. 

Step into Christmas with the Joe Ringer Band | 23 Dec 

Head into a winter wonderland accompanied by the region’s best musical talent this Christmas with the Joe Ringer Band. Marking its 15th year at Norwich Theatre Playhouse, the show will be bigger and better than ever! There will be beautiful harmonies, expert musicianship, festive sing-alongs and plenty of snow. From Bublé to Bing, Silent Night to Slade, this is a traditional treat to not be missed!

Aladdin | 7 Dec | Norwich Theatre Royal 

Three wishes, two brothers and one magical lamp. Follow Aladdin and his family’s adventures in Norwich Theatre Royal’s genie-us pantomime! Bring the whole family along for a hilarious show that will have you laughing, singing along, booing at baddies and cheering for the heroes.  

Kids Eat Free!  

For the duration of Aladdin, kids eat free at our in-house restaurant, Prelude. Decked with dazzling Christmas decorations, the whole family can indulge in a festive menu that’s created to accommodate even the pickiest of eaters! Children under 12 can enjoy a complimentary main course and dessert when accompanied by an adult purchasing a two or three-course meal. Two courses are £27 or three courses are £32. Be sure to book your table to secure a spot for a magical pre-show feast.
