For six years, our audiences have shared the joy of creativity by getting involved with our annual Christmas Appeal.
Here at Norwich Theatre, kindness never shines brighter than at Christmas. The season of goodwill is characterised by acts of generosity, and compassion.
Our loyal supporters have joined in this tradition, embracing the joy of giving and raising nearly £100,000 over six years to help make a difference for those who need it most.
From supporting those living with dementia and their caregivers to feel less alone through our Theatre Cares music workshops to helping young people facing severe life challenges to find their voice and confidence through our Theatre of Possibility activities, our Christmas Appeal has helped change the lives of thousands of people through our creative experiences.
Friends and Supporters Manager, Hannah Crouch, explains why the appeal is so important each year:
“Many people don’t realise Norwich Theatre is a registered charity, and we receive no regular public funding. We know our creative experiences have a wide-reaching positive impact on our communities, but these are challenging times, and we need to meet the demand. Our Christmas appeal is a fantastic opportunity for us to raise money each year so that we can respond the challenges people are facing right now.
“From popping some change in our wishing well to taking part in our Christmas raffle or dining in our restaurant, there are lots of fun ways that our friends and supporters get involved. We are so grateful to them for their generous support and hope this year we be our most successful yet, and we will be able to celebrate raising over £100,000 for Norwich Theatre together.”
This year, Norwich Theatre is raising money so that all children, young people and families can access life-changing creative experiences.
By donating £15, you will enable a child to attend Norwich Theatre’s Fuelling Imaginations creative workshops, a space for families to get together in a warm space this winter. £24 will deliver a Parents’ Singing Circle session supporting parents of young children to connect and sing together, and £39 means a vulnerable or at-risk young person can take part in our Play-in-a-Day holiday activities of drama games and theatre skills.
Hannah added: “During the festivities, please donate whatever you can to help ensure no children or young people miss out on creative experiences.”
