The curtain has closed on Norwich Theatre’s annual Christmas Appeal, raising £24,824 to ensure children, young people, and families have access to life-changing creative experiences.
We are proud to announce that this is our most successful Christmas Appeal to date, raising nearly £25,000 across our festive season. Contributions were made online and in-person, including through entries into our Christmas Appeal Raffle, where entrants got the chance to win the ultimate theatre lover’s prize bundle.
The money raised this year will help provide opportunities for all families to get creative together at Norwich Theatre, no matter their circumstances. The donations fund the delivery of creative workshops and holiday programmes where children, young people and families can explore their creativity through music, drama and dance. The funds also support our pay-as-you-feel activities, offering reduced-price or free tickets to families who face the most barriers to accessing creative experiences.
Norwich Theatre’s Friends and Supporters Manager, Hannah Crouch, said: “Many people do not realise that Norwich Theatre is a registered charity with no regular public funding. Each year we must raise the money needed to make sure we are able to deliver impactful and inspiring creative opportunities for everyone in the months that follow.
“Our annual Christmas Appeal is key to us being able to deliver these activities in our local communities and we are so grateful to our supporters who help us share the joy of creativity each year through their generosity. We are excited that together we have raised even more than last year, meaning we can reach even more people with our creative experiences.”

We know these are so important, particularly for children and young people today who are facing so many new and unique challenges.”
