This week, the principal cast of Norwich Theatre’s pantomime Aladdin gathered together for the first time in Norwich Theatre Stage Two for photos and videos.

Norfolk’s favourite Joe Tracini, who plays Aladdin’s brother Reg, and ITV star Lisa Maxwell, the Evil Aunt, were at the shoot. They were joined by West End stars Tarik Frimpong as Aladdin and Meesha Turner as Jazz.

Also at the shoot was Nimmo Twins legend Owen Evans, who donned heels for the second time as Dame Molly Piecrust.

Wendy Ellis, Norwich Theatre Creative Programs & Audiences Director and lead producer of the pantomime said: “With just over 100 days until panto opens, it was with huge excitement and anticipation that the cast got together for the first time. There was much laughter and camaraderie as they met each other and enjoyed trying on costumes and make up. The energy was infectious, and we are now eager to get in the rehearsal room!”

Joe Tracini said: “My favourite thing about Christmas is panto because I get to be a part of other people’s Christmases, and I never forget that someone’s Christmas starts because they are watching us, and I am really looking forward to being back and part of Norwich’s Christmas once again.”

Follow Aladdin in this Genie-us Norfolk pantomime adventure as he battles evil to save his true love. Cheer and boo along this Christmas delight for the whole family. Expect colourful costumes, singing, dancing and more glitter than you could shake a magic carpet at.

Use Norwich Theatre’s Pay in Instalments to spread the cost of the cost of your panto tickets. Pay in Instalments is free to use, and no interest is added.
