Norwich Theatre is bringing you some fantastic names you won’t want to miss. Spend an evening with one of the nation’s most loved faces, TV presenter Lorraine Kelly (25 Feb 24), as she celebrates the publication of her captivating debut novel, The Island Swimmer. Lorraine will discuss her writing journey and the key themes of the novel. There will even be an opportunity to ask your own questions. Join Rob Brydon (5 Mar) for a night of songs & laughter. Accompanied by a nine-piece orchestra, Rob will share his personal musical journey.

The line-up of comedians going on sale in September includes Jimmy Carr (11 Feb), Rhod Gilbert (30 Jun), Tom Houghton (16 Mar), Josh Pugh (17 Mar), Ray Bradshaw (4 Apr), Paul Foot (11 May), Emmanuel Sonubi (18 May) and by popular demand and extra date of Frankie Boyle (20 Mar).

Inspired by real-life events, the Calendar Girls (2 – 6 Apr) launched a global phenomenon: a million copycat calendars, a record-breaking movie, a stage play and now a musical written by Gary Barlow and Tim Firth. Follow the incredible adventures of the handsome hero Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps (18 -22 Jun), complete with stiff-upper-lip, British gung-ho and pencil moustache as he encounters dastardly murders, double-crossing secret agents, and, of course, devastatingly beautiful women. Celebrate the lives of theatre’s unsung heroes, as they tell searing stories of ambition, shattered hopes and what it really costs to follow your dreams with A Chorus Line (27 – 31  Aug).

Drama fans won’t want to miss The Syndicate (30 Apr – 4 May). Based on the hit BBC show written by the legendary Kay Mellor, this play follows five supermarket employees whose lottery syndicate numbers come in just as their jobs are under threat. The critically acclaimed stage production of Birdsong inspired by the world-famous novel by Sebastian Faulks heads to Norwich Theatre Royal between 12 – 16 Nov. Popular story by Onjali Q. Raúf makes its stage debut with The Boy at the Back of the Class (22-27 Apr)

It is time to try Christmas the Playhouse way with the additional shows added to its Christmas line-up. Supergirly – Sleigh QUEEN (8 Dec) is an all-singing, all-dancing glamorous feast filled with her world-renowned hilarious Pop Parody Christmas show. The Lock In ‘Christmas Carol’ 2023 (11 Dec) is half gig, half dance show and half panto! Come, laugh and fully enjoy the spirit of the season with Tim FitzHigham’s Comedy Christmas Cracker (9 Dec). Tim is joined by triple Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominee Andrew Maxwell and live music from top live band Loose Change and much, much more.

For a family, treats are on the agenda this on sale with CBBC’s Operation Ouch! Dr Dan (18 Feb) at Norwich Theatre Playhouse. He will take you on an awe-inspiring journey to discover the effects of space travel on the human body. Or why not join CBBC stars Danny and Mick (24 Feb) on their latest adventure on the Playhouse stage. In Stage Two, join poet Simon Mole and musician Gecko for The Big Dinosaur Show (20 Feb), a family show full of poems, raps and songs about all your favourite prehistoric protagonists.
