The magic of pantomime is spreading into the community this Christmas!

Stars of Norwich Theatre Royal’s Aladdin, Tarik Frimpong (Al) and Meesha Turner (Jazz) are swapping the bright lights of the stage for a cosy reading corner at Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library for their Bounce and Rhyme: Storytime.

The duo will be set to delight a young audience with dramatic readings of beloved Christmas tales filled with adventure and festive merriment. The session is completely free to attend with no booking needed, so the panto cheer will be accessible to all.

Theatre and books share the common goal of storytelling; helping spark imagination, inspire creativity and connect communities. The session is a reminder to children that stories can be found anywhere, not just at the theatre and in books!

The session will start at 10.30am on 30 Dec and will be held in the Children’s Library on the ground floor of the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library at The Forum. It’s free, fun and full of magic!

Immerse yourself in the story of Aladdin at Norwich Theatre Royal, which runs until 5 Jan. Join Al on his magical adventure as he teams up with Jazz, his hilarious mum Widow Molly Piecrust (Owen Evans), and his cheeky brother Reg (Joe Tracini) to take on the evil Professor Bellatrix Bottomborough.

Expect lots of show-stopping performances, glittering costumes, dazzling sets and plenty of laughter for the whole family. It’s filled with Norfolk humour, magic carpets and festive cheer – Oh, yes, it is!
