We are pulling back the curtain at Norwich Theatre Royal, revealing the heritage of our building through talks, a display of archival posters, programmes and playbills, and a fun building tour.
Step behind the scenes at Norwich Theatre Royal for Heritage Open Days on Saturday 12 September, 10am–3pm.
Book on to join us for a Norwich Theatre History Talk followed by a tour of our iconic 1930s auditorium, and discover the story of this much-loved cultural landmark through engaging talks, tours, photographic displays and archive materials.
Explore the building’s evolution through posters, programmes and playbills, enjoy a fabulous costume display, chat with archivists and long-standing volunteers, and uncover theatre traditions and superstitions along the way.

Free to attend, but places must be booked.

Talks and theatre tours last for one hour and will take place at:
10am – 11am
11am – 12pm
1pm – 2pm
2pm – 3pm

Activities are dependent on minimum numbers participating, in the event that we need to cancel due to low participant numbers, a full refund will be given. We are unable to offer refunds in other circumstances.
