From Hamlet to Rock Musical
04 Mar 14:30
Join this workshop and blast full speed ahead into Space Hamlet. A two-hour introduction to this new, retrofuture, space-Viking rock musical. Share in the vision of reimagining Shakespeare’s classic with Prince Hamlet of the Denmark system. A musical version of Hamlet that Ziggy-era Bowie could have written with a little help from Dr Who and Star Wars. As an RSC Nation ensemble you will even get the chance to learn one of the songs from this knowingly ridiculous, gloriously funny adaptation of one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies.
This unique and inspiring opportunity will be led by Daniel Sturman, writer and producer of Space Hamlet, and supported by Nic Gordon who played Hamlet.
Part of Norwich Theatre’s continued partnership with the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Shakespeare Nation programme.
