Hi, hope you’re ok. My show is about hope. It’s also about mental illness, good liars, bad ideas, Lorraine Kelly and a gang lord forcing me to hold a raw chicken. But it’s mostly about hope. I live with a complex mental illness called borderline personality disorder (BPD) and I started writing this, about that, in January 2020.
It’s been a long 5 years, but I’m finally here.
Please come. I wrote it for you.
Joe Tracini is an actor, writer and TV presenter. He’s starred in TV shows including Hollyoaks, Coming of Age and The Great Outdoors, and was the host of the BAFTA winning The Dengineers on CBBC.

The BAFTA-nominated Channel 4 documentary Me and the Voice in My Head explored the frequently debilitating effects that Joe’s Borderline Personality Disorder has on every aspect of his life. Reviews
“This isn’t just stand-up – it’s an emotional ride, wrapped up in wit, charm and the occasional 7 foot man with a raw chicken!”
British Theatre Guide“A tender mix of comedy and storytelling where the humour is soft, unhurried and all the more powerful for it. Ultimately, this is a show about hope and why it’s absolutely worth holding on to.”
The List“The honesty is startling, and potent. IT IS UTTERLY NOT S**T.’”
Dawn French“Very funny and sad and utterly true.”
