Moments is the new production from Theatre Re. – the team behind The Nature of Forgetting and BIRTH. This is a show about making a show, unveiling the magic behind creating a theatre production.

Through their personal stories of becoming parents and reaching mid-life, the director, composer, lighting designer and sound designer are all on stage, guiding us through the thought process and creation of everything that is happening as it happens. It starts off as a TED talk, then it falls into the world of performance with their trademark style of accessible physical storytelling with music at its heart.

This production is unique and special. Moments unpicks their creative bond, re-evaluates success and makes a new show exploring time, fatherhood and grief.

Post Show Q&A will take place on Monday 10 February 2025.

What Teachers say:

‘Moments was perhaps the best lesson I could have ever given to a group of students learning about how a theatre company collaborate to create theatre. My students were entirely engrossed, completely silent and fully engaged.’

‘It so beautifully puts into context the complexities of making work, the practicalities and challenges of creating great work and the heart and soul that goes into making them. I loved it.’

‘It was like the team were opening up their precious notebooks and sharing with the audience how their magic works, with candour and wit. It felt like a very private conversation, which made the experience all the more special.’
