Norwich Hamlets is a collection of community responses to Hamlet, created with community participants throughout 2025. Shakespeare Nation is a Royal Shakespeare Company project produced in partnership with Norwich Theatre, funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

Something Rotten is a free performance created by Norwich Theatre community participants, the Storytellers.
“Two bees or not two bees, that is the question”
A comedy addressing the climate-emergency, Something Rotten searches for the future prosperity of Norfolk.
The performance begins at 11:15am at Chapelfield Bandstand, with a second performance at 3:15pm and lasts approximately 10 minutes.
This is a free performance, open to all with no need to book tickets.
12pm and 4pm
Aham is a free, public dance performance created by Norwich Theatre community participants, in partnership with the Natyapriya Dance Company.
“But break, my heart, for I must hold my tongue.”
A movement through different cultures, emotions and narratives, Aham shares the universal experiences of life.
The performance begins at 12pm at Millennium Plain, outside the Forum, with a second performance at 4pm.
This is a free performance, open to all with no need to book tickets
12pm – 2:30pm
Come along to Hay Hill to hear an intimate, personal monologue from the Norwich Theatre Storytellers.
Drop-in monologues, each lasting approx 5 minutes and taking place between 12pm and 2:30pm

Activities are dependent on minimum numbers participating, in the event that we need to cancel due to low participant numbers, a full refund will be given. We are unable to offer refunds in other circumstances.
We work hard to ensure best practise and the safety of all who attend our activities. To do this we have a number of policies and procedures in place to support our participants and visitors.
