To herald the arrival of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s tour of Hamlet, we are working with costume designer, Amanda Harrold, to create a dress inspired by personal interpretations of the character Ophelia. This will be exhibited at Norwich Theatre from the 10-14 March 2026.

We invite you to come along and stitch, sew or embroider your design with us. Bring along a piece of A5 fabric and use any textile techniques you enjoy – embroidery or cross-stitch, crochet or knitting, applique or a combination!

We recommend you use plain, pale fabric, and would encourage you to use upcycled or repurposed materials to help reduce environmental impact.

If you are short of ideas, don’t let that be a barrier. Amanda will be able to offer you a choice and support your creativity.
