Play in a Day | 1 Apr | Stage Two
Age recommendation: 11 – 15
A fun, friendly exploration of theatre making, encouraging creativity, imagination and confidence through performance.
Your child will warm up with games and exercises, before delving into the piece, through acting, directing, movement and physical theatre. Everyone will be encouraged to contribute to the outcome, and together the group will produce a short, original piece of theatre to share with their families.
No previous drama experience is required, just your own creativity and passion to perform!
Imperfect Storms: New Work from East Anglian Writers | 2 Apr | Stage Two
Age recommendation: 14+
The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain and Norwich Theatre Stage Two present another evening of bold, surprising new writing by East Anglian writers.
The writers featured have worked across TV, film, theatre, radio, fiction, comedy, poetry and video games, and the programme reflects that variety. Expect a lively mix of voices, forms and ideas – these are works in progress, fresh off the printer, presented with script in hand.
Kate Butch: Choose Your own Cabaret | 2 Apr | Playhouse
Age recommendation: 15+
Join the star of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, Celebrity Mastermind, The Power of Parker, and at least three episodes of Crimewatch for a cabaret show like no other. Kate is handing over control of the performance to you, the audience, as she allows you to select each song, each joke, and maybe even what she wears. Accompanied by maestro extraordinaire Jordan Paul Clarke (Showstopper! The Improvised Musical and the West End’s Public Domain), Kate will create a unique evening of songs, stories and games, with each show becoming one of at least 8,000 different outcomes (she’s counted them herself)!
Knightmare Live | 4 Apr | Playhouse
Age recommendation: 10+
Sidestep left into adventure as dungeon master Treguard opens the doors once more for the award-winning, live action, fantasy gameshow where you might finally get the chance to wear the iconic Helmet of Justice and take on Lord Fear’s army of goblins, talking walls and tricky word puzzles. This show is the perfect family-friendly, hilarious event to spark your evening.
Sensory Stories for SEND | 9 Apr | Stage Two
Age recommendation: 7-11
A sensory, creative session welcoming families of children with special educational needs and disabilities. Led by specialist sensory practitioner Natalya Martin-Owen.
The session will take place in a relaxed, comfortable and accessible space, which you are welcome to explore freely. This session will be accessible for non-verbal children, guiding the group through a journey of imagination and play in a relaxed, supportive environment, using an array of sensory materials and props.
Love Me Like a Chai Tea Latte | 9 Apr | Stage Two
Age recommendation: 16+
