Having recently celebrated ten years on Broadway, seven years in London’s West End and now on a highly anticipated tour around the UK and Ireland, there’s many reasons why Hamilton has taken the theatre world by storm.
Whether you’re a hardcore musical fan or not you’ve likely heard the buzz around this show, so here’s our top five reasons you should book your ticket!
An unforgettable score
Hamilton is an entirely sung-and-rapped-through musical; Lin-Manuel Miranda’s score skillfully blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway. After seeing this show, we can guarantee you’ll have the soundtrack playing all the way home!
Recently having its TikTok viral moment with Best of Wives and Best of Women, other hit songs on its track list include My Shot, The Room Where It Happens, Helpless, and many more bops!

A history lesson, but make it rap?!
So hip-hop might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s not just the style of music that makes this show special. Hamilton is a biographical musical telling the fascinating history of America’s Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the America we know today.
The impressive storytelling of this show takes you on a fast-paced journey through poverty, war, love, and loss, teaching you some of key moments in American and British history in a truly unique way.
Cultural impact
Despite being on stage for 10 plus years, Hamilton is still attracting audiences night after night on both the West End and Broadway. The show has seen some incredible cast members throughout its tenure, including the likes of Leslie Odom Jr., Phillipa Soo, Jonathan Groff and many more.
A similarly impressive tour cast will be heading to Norwich, including 2024 Black British Theatre Award-winner Marley Fenton as leading man Alexander Hamilton, and Billy Nevers as the leading antagonist and narrator, Aaron Burr.
