Get ahead and plan your next creative outing for the May half term with Norwich Theatre. From Pirate Adventures for the little ones to Play in a Day for your aspiring stars, there’s something for every imagination.
Embark on your very own Pirate Adventure! (27 May). This immersive storytelling session, full of props, movements and fun games, is perfect for you and your little one. This session will breathe new life into classic tales while giving grown-ups inspiration for new ways to share stories.
If you have a young thespian in your life, get them booked onto Play in a Day (28 May). The session is a fun, friendly exploration of theatre making, encouraging creativity, imagination and confidence through performance. Participants will warm up with games and exercises, before delving into the piece, through acting, directing, movement and physical theatre. The group will produce a short, original piece of theatre to share with their families.
Sensory Stories for SEND (26 May) is a sensory, creative session welcoming families with children who have special educational needs and disabilities. Accessible for non-verbal children, guiding the group through a journey of imagination and play in a relaxed, supportive environment, using an array of sensory materials and props.
Looking to expand the creative fun beyond the half term, why not catch the closest, coolest, hijab-wearing skateboarding step-sisters in Sisters360 (6 Jun) at Norwich Theatre Stage Two. Afterwards, come along to Sisters 360 Post Show Workshop. This is completely free and is an opportunity to meet and work with the actors (in character) from the stage show. Together, you will explore different types of change and how we respond to them, then work together to create a bank of positive actions to take when faced with difficult changes in your lives.
