Get ready to be thrilled as a fresh wave of incredible shows goes on sale at Norwich Theatre! From dazzling musicals and powerful ballets to hilarious stand-up and thought-provoking theatre, there’s something for everyone.

Omigod You Guys! Legally Blonde the Musical is heading to Norwich Theatre Royal between 22 – 26 Sep 26. This ultimate feel-good rom-com, based on the award-winning film starring Reese Witherspoon, follows Elle Woods on her transformation from It girl fashionista to legal ace at Harvard Law School, all in the name of love. Elle must prove she is more than blonde ambition, swap the changing rooms for the courtroom and learn that being true to yourself never goes out of style.

Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, Operation Mincemeat (5 – 10 Oct 26) is the fast-paced, hilarious and unbelievable true story of the twisted secret mission that won us World War II. Bursting at the seams with the kind of chaos you couldn’t invent, the question is: how did a dead body, a fake love letter, and – of all people – Ian Fleming come together to wrong-foot Hitler?

Local theatre talent shines next year with two exciting musicals. Norfolk and Norwich Operatic Society present Carousel (24 – 28 Feb 26) at Norwich Theatre Royal. Accompanied by a 26-piece orchestra, the beautiful score features beloved songs such as If I Loved You, What’s the Use of Wonderin’,  and the iconic, heart-rending You’ll Never Walk Alone.Threshold Theatre Company return to the Norwich Theatre Playhouse with Flashdance – The Musical (3 – 7 Jun 26), the electrifying stage show based on the iconic 1983 film. This high-energy production tells the story of 18-year-old Alex, a steelworker by day and dancer by night, who dreams of earning a place at the prestigious Shipley Dance Academy. Dance like you’ve never danced before!

Were you Blur or Oasis? From the chaos of the Brit Awards to the infamous chart war, The Battle (16 – 20 Jun 26) at Norwich Theatre Royal is a wickedly funny dive into one of the greatest rivalries in rock history. Expect filthy language and razor-sharp dialogue in this cut-throat new comedy that puts you right at the heart of the feuding, the fame, and the fallout.

Northern Ballet brings the extraordinary story of Anne Lister, better known as Gentleman Jack (27 – 30 May 26) to Norwich Theatre Royal. A powerful Yorkshire woman, it was only after her death when her secret diaries were decoded that a truly exceptional life was uncovered. Anne lived, dressed and loved as she desired, not as 19th century society expected. Inspiring biographies, novels, a hit TV series and now a ballet, this thrilling production choreographed by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa is performed to new live music.

This month Norwich Theatre Playhouse we have some of the very best comedians going on sale. This month there is Rob Newman (4 Sep 25) going Where the Wild Things are; comedy legend Jenny Eclair (9 Nov 25) looking back at what she can remember; Glenn Moore (12 Nov 25) showing off his fast paced joke prowess, Rich Hall (3 4 Dec 25) and his sharp wit, Ian Stone (29 Jan 26) who will be Looking for the Wow, Jessica Fostekew (13 Feb 26) who is looking for answers; and Tom Stade (29 – 30 May 26) who is just Naughty by Nature. And if that isn’t enough, The Noise Next Door: Comedy, Improvised (18 March 2026) will be making funny stuff up on the spot, offering the quickest, wittiest improvisers in the UK.

1884 (16 – 18 Oct) will be heading out to Carrow House on King street as part of Norwich Theatre Beyond. This is an immersive game-theatre show inspired by the legacy of the 1884 Berlin Conference, an often-overlooked historical turning point for the African continent and the world. 1884 isn’t a history lesson, it’s a fun, fast-paced, and thought-provoking journey where play and protest meet. Explore colonial legacies, collective memory, and what it means to be part of the story… or pushed out of it.
