Learn more about Ailey 2 from the people behind the scenes! Join Artistic Director Francesca Harper for a pre-show talk as she explains the creativity, originality and hard work that went into creating Ailey 2’s latest production.
Appointed in 2021, Francesca Harper is an internationally renowned performer and choreographer, who trained at the The Ailey School and has choreographed for both companies. Find out more about Francesca here.
Alvin Ailey is one of the most iconic dancers of the last century. We are hugely excited to welcome his company of dancers on its first ever visit to Norwich!
Ailey 2, comprising 12 young and dynamic dancers, brings its New York flair and energy to the UK for the first time since 2011.
Established in 1974, Ailey 2 serves as a bridge between The Ailey School and the professional dance world. This dance company is renowned for blending the spirit and vitality of the next generation of talented dancers with the creative vision of outstanding and emerging choreographers.

Age recommendation: All ages. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
