Creating Kindness: Eco-Compassion
This event is in the past
What is it?
Creating Kindness are a series of thought-provoking, creative workshops delivered in partnership with Norfolk and Waveney Mind.
Eco-compassion is changing the world… so how can we look after our own ‘inner landscapes’?
What will I get from taking part?
We want to act for the planet because we care, but what if we feel too overwhelmed, despondent or drained to start with? As the first stage of taking action is learning to practice compassion towards ourselves, we will:
- Learn simple practices to develop self-kindness and a closer relationship with nature
- Explore how our feelings of anger and despair about our planet, stem from our deep sense of care and connection to it (eco-compassion)
- Understand how resourcing ourselves is an essential foundation for sustaining our actions
Who is leading the project?
The workshop will be led by an expert practitioner from Norfolk and Waveney Mind.
Do I need any particular skills or experience to take part?
No experience is needed to take part; this workshop is suitable for all adults to explore self-compassion and mindfulness.
I have additional needs. What support is available?
If you have any questions, or comments on how we can adapt the session to suit your needs, please get in touch: sam.beal@norwichtheatre.org
