Rome struggles under the shadow of war and the tyrannical chief of police, Scarpia. An idealistic artist is facing execution, and only the singer Tosca can save him from his fate. The stage is set for a twisted game of cat and mouse with the highest of stakes.
Set over two chaotic days of passion and intrigue, English Touring Opera’s new production of Tosca is epic drama at a human scale. Robin Norton-Hale directs Puccini’s gripping thriller, with ETO Music Director Gerry Cornelius conducting and set and costumes from Madeleine Boyd.
Performed in English with English captions.
