Freedom of Movement: Bharatanatyam
Expressive, playful, beautiful & infectious.
What is it?
Dance has always shared traditions, stories and myths. It allows us to step into a place of self-discovery. The language is universal and can unite people of all ages and cultures.
This project offers a space for people to come together, learn from each other and celebrate the unique tradition and art form of Bharatanatyam dance. It is an opportunity to explore expressive storytelling by blending rhythm, movement, music and emotion.
The ensemble will work towards developing a new, short piece of theatre, blending the beauty of traditional movement with a contemporary narrative.
