Kindness Installation August (Drop-in)
This event is in the past
What is it?
Throughout this summer Norwich-based artist Chris Jackson will be working with Norwich Theatre Royal to build a new installation inspired by the shimmering, shifting forms of bird murmurations and fish shoals which represents our collective human experiences as a golden, glittering cloud of miniature tokens or ‘votives’. Featuring hundreds of tiny handmade artworks each sealed within its own individual bottle these intimate, tactile mementos of daily life reflect the fragile human acts or gestures we choose to share with others, paid forward freely through repeated acts of kindness.
Chris creates precious, elaborate sculptures and installations made using a wide variety of low-tech and re-useable materials found around the home. To see more of the artist’s work or to contact him please visit: www.chrisjacksonartist.co.uk
