Tread the boards on one of Norwich’s most loved stages! Play at the Playhouse is an extended drama-based workshop, encouraging creativity, imagination and confidence through performance.

This session will explore devising, staging and performing in a fun, supportive and creative environment.

Participants will warm up with drama games and exercises, before delving into the piece. Each participant will be encouraged to input into the outcome, and together the group will produce a short, original piece of theatre.

Play at the Playhouse is a fun and accessible approach to devising a piece of theatre, with no pressure, and no previous drama experience required. The session is about enjoyment, encouraging creativity and collaboration.

Taking part in drama-based exercises encourages young people to work well together, whilst enhancing self-expression, confidence, literacy and language skills – and of course is great fun!

This session will include a short break. In the last 10 minutes, parents and carers will be invited into the theatre to watch a short, informal sharing.
