Tickbox is a semi-autobiographical, one-woman play in Scots-English and Urdu about race, perception and identity.
Actress-comedian Lubna Kerr explores her and her mother’s journeys from a comfortable, middle-class life in Pakistan to Govan in Glasgow through storytelling and comedy. Sharing the challenges encountered by both with humour and emotion, Tickbox interweaves the journeys of two Scottish Pakistani women united by blood, passion and determination.
Following a sell-out 6 performance premiere at 2021’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe (Army @ The Fringe), Tickbox has toured all over the UK. It has received 4 star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022 where it was nominated for the Filipa Brancanga award and the OFFWest awards.
A room will be available to use for prayer, after this performance, if required.
