Stephen Crocker
Chief Executive & Creative Director
Stephen leads all aspects of the organisation’s work both artistic and commercial. Norwich Theatre covers Norwich Theatre Royal, The Playhouse and Stage Two. Stephen began his career as a professional classical singer before entering the cultural sector and, prior to his move to Norwich in 2016, spent 9 years at The Lowry, latterly as Deputy Chief Executive. Stephen is co-Chair of Dance Consortium and a board member of The Touring Partnership, Norfolk & Suffolk Culture Board, Norwich BID and Norfolk Business Board.
For six years he was a council member of Arts Council England’s South East Area Council. He has previously chaired curious directive and is a former trustee of Blackpool Grand, Manchester Pride and former vice chair of Albert Kennedy Trust.

Tom Sleigh, Chair of Trustees
Tom was Chair of the Board of the Barbican Arts Centre from 2020-2024, leading a period of significant change to the management team, business model and culture. Tom has worked in executive roles across the public and private sectors over two decades, including at Lloyds Banking Group and Bank of London. He is Chair of Goldsmiths University London since September 2024. Tom also sits on the City of London’s Culture, Heritage and Libraries Committee, is an elected Councillor in the Square Mile and chairs the South Bank Employers Group.
