This event has passed.

Founded 90 years ago in Czechoslovakia and now the official orchestra of the City of Prague, this distinguished orchestra continues to work with renowned conductors and soloists world-wide.

In their performance at Norwich Theatre Royal, the Prague Symphony conducted by Tomáš Brauner will justifiably celebrate the works of Dvořák – arguably their nation’s greatest composer – opening their concert with the dramatic and entertaining symphonic poem Noonday Witch, rooted in Slavic mythology.

Acclaimed violinist Alexander Sitkovetsky will then join the orchestra on stage to perform Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto – possibly the most popular violin concerto of all time.

We greatly look forward to the Prague Symphony Orchestra’s authentic performance of Dvořák’s beloved and iconic ninth symphony ‘From the New World’, providing a very appropriate end to their performance at Norwich Theatre Royal.

Dvořák – Noonday Witch
Tchaikovsky – Violin Concerto

Dvořák –  Symphony No. 9

Conductor: Tomáš Brauner
Soloist: Alexander Sitkovetsky, violin
