Theatre Cares – A Life in Music is an exciting participatory programme for people living with mild to moderate dementia and their carers.
Music can improve the wellbeing of people living with dementia and can also be a positive shared experience between loved ones. Join us for this fortnightly dementia inclusive programme of music workshops that will explore a different focus each week, from singing and song-writing, to getting hands on with drums, chimes, and stringed and small percussion instruments.
This project is an exciting collaboration between Musical Keys and Norwich Theatre to explore music in all its forms. We will provide a safe space for people to have fun with experienced practitioners. All workshops are relaxed and set to a leisurely pace with a small number of participants to allow for maximum contact with practitioners. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided!
A Life in Music will be taking place in Stage Two at Norwich Theatre. This venue has step-free access, accessible toilets and plenty of comfortable seating throughout the space. Background music will be switched off, and external noises will be kept to a minimum. The practitioner will remain the same throughout the course so that participants see the same friendly face each session, allowing them to feel comfortable in the space. Please do let us know if the participant has any additional needs that we can accommodate.
Please feel free to call the Box Office team on 01603 630000 to make a booking, or to discuss the programme in further detail.
