Get ready to be a little bit naughty with Matilda The Musical (6 Aug – 6 Sep 26) at Norwich Theatre Royal! This anarchic production inspired by the beloved book by Roald Dahl is about an extraordinary little girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny. The iconic musical The Bodyguard (22 – 27 Jun 26) is heading to Norwich Theatre Royal. Former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Expect irresistible classics, including Queen of the Night, So Emotional, One Moment in Time, Saving All My Love, I Wanna Dance with Somebody and one of the biggest hit songs of all time – I Will Always Love You.
Shakespeare’s epic family drama of deceit and murder, Hamlet (10 – 14 Mar 26), is heading to Norwich Theatre Royal in this Royal Shakespeare production. Hamlet’s mother has married his uncle. As he pulls at the threads of his not-so-happy new family, Hamlet unravels a web of deceit and immorality that leads to the ultimate crisis of conscience. Want to get your Hamlet fix a little earlier? Then Eddie Izzard: Hamlet (29 – 30 Sep 25) is the perfect tonic. Eddie will be portraying men, women, ghosts, scholars, tyrants, courtiers, lovers, fools and poets as she takes on 23 characters in a unique performance of the iconic play.
Bring on the laughter with a whole range of comedians going on sale this month. Rhod Gilbert (23 Nov 25) is heading to Norwich Theatre Royal and feeling remarkably zesty. At Norwich Theatre Playhouse you have the chaotic Jason Byrne (2 – 3 Oct 25), the sharp wit of Andy Parsons (25-26 Sep 25 ), Josie Long’s (27 Sep 25) monster of a show, Kieran Hodgson (10 Oct 25) impersonating former Presidents, Cally Beaton (11 Oct 25) and a quick-witted insight into midlife and the grumpy humour of Rich Hall (4 Dec 25).
At Norwich Theatre Stage Two, catch the opening of the UEA Green Film Festival (1 May 25), a rip-roaring and moving comedy In the Lady Garden (19 Jul 25), or Revenge: After The Levoyah (26 Oct 25) a chaotic Jewish heist that combines chaotic madcap comedy and biting political satire. Looking for something for your little ones look no further than The Three Bears (27 Oct 25) Perfect for all ages the show celebrates love, laughter and the beauty of families of all shapes and sizes. The Three Bears flips the classic fairytale of Goldilocks on its head and is packed full of surprises, slapstick chaos and heart-warming twists.
