Our Matilda workshop & show is a creative session inspired by the smash‑hit musical Matilda. Young People will step into the world of Roald Dahl’s beloved story, exploring the characters, themes and magical moments before watching the show itself.
Who is it for?
Home Educated young people aged 8-12.
What will young people get from taking part?
Participants will dive into the story through drama activities, character exploration and imaginative play. They’ll build confidence, develop performance skills and discover what makes Matilda such a powerful and inspiring tale.
After the workshop, students will enjoy an exclusive opportunity to watch a dress rehearsal of Matilda, bringing everything they’ve learned to life.
Who will be leading the project?
The workshop is led by experienced the Norwich Theatre team who specialise in storytelling, drama, and working creatively with young people.
Timings of the day
11am: Drop off at Stage Two
11am-12:45pm: Workshop
12:45pm-1:30pm: Lunch (Please bring your own lunch and snack.)
2pm-4:45pm: Take your seats for the performance
4:45pm: Pick up at Stage Two
Note: This is a drop‑off session. Your children will be fully chaperoned by Norwich Theatre staff for the duration of the day (11am–4:30pm). All staff involved are fully DBS‑checked.

Activities are dependent on minimum numbers participating, in the event that we need to cancel due to low participant numbers, a full refund will be given. We are unable to offer refunds in other circumstances.
