The shows going on sale this month at Norwich Theatre are sure to make some memories. They include some purrfect musicals, comedians to beat the blues, and a hero you cannot ignore!
A spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s multi-award-winning musical Cats (16-27 Feb 27) is heading to Norwich Theatre Royal. From Euston station to Victoria Grove, the strays and rebels of London gather under the Jellicle moon in the hope they’ll be the chosen one. And each of them asks, because each of them dares, who will it be? With a legendary score which inspired generations, including Old Deuteronomy, Macavity: The Mystery Cat, and, of course, Memory.
The epic musical Blood Brothers (16- 20 Mar 27), written by Willy Russel, is a heartfelt tale of family and fate, another spectacle heading to Norwich Theatre Royal. Few musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multi-award-winning BLOOD BROTHERS. The production ran for more than 10,000 performances in London’s West End and has been affectionately christened the ‘Standing Ovation Musical ’.
Norwich Theatre’s co-production with Buxton International Festival La traviata (31 Jul –2 Aug 26) sees you step into the glittering world of nineteenth-century Paris as one of opera’s most unforgettable love stories takes centre stage. La traviata is Verdi at full brilliance, weaving a tale that shimmers with glamour, passion, and heartbreak.
Your little ones won’t miss out either with a trip to Ponty Pandy to see Fireman Sam (24 Oct 26). Norman Price is determined to win the Pontypandy Treasure Hunt, but when he discovers clues to a real pirate treasure, he goes exploring deep into the caves. It’s up to Fireman Sam, Elvis and Ellie to save the day and find the treasure. Fireman Sam’s new live show is perfect for all the family! If you are feeling thewinter blues, and you are looking for a good laugh, Norwich Theatre has you covered with a whole host of stand-up on all our stages. Tom Davis has added an extra date to his ‘Spudgun’ Tour (11-12 Sep), and Nish Kumar (20 Sep)– top political comedian- is set to take on the Norwich Theatre Royal Stage later this year. Finlay Christie (9 Nov) and Daniel Foxx’s ‘How Lovely’ (6-7 Mar) will be heading to Norwich Theatre Playhouse and Juliette Burton (31 May) is coming to Norwich Theatre Stage Two
